Tennis Tots...

My favorite age group to coach is the 4 to 5 year old group. I'm especially loving to coach this summer because my son Elijah and all his friends are in the class.

Here is a photo of Laura Webb and Zachary Corbett. They are two of my most attentive students...
Here's a photo of Laura, Zach, and Elijah. Thery are listening intently during a 'coaching moment'.

In this photo we are working on our timing. Everyone is saying 'CATCH' as I catch the ball and 'BOUNCE' when I bounce it.

Christopher Corbett

.
Christopher Corbett is another bright young tennis star from Coach Sam's Home School Tennis program in Brazoria County. Chris is really dedicating himself to being the best player he can be and can be found on the practice court multiple times a week these days.

Here's a photo of one of Chris' best shots, his backhand. He's showing great focus on the ball and good racquet preparation. You can see he's loaded his weight onto his back foot and is about to unload into his hit and follow through.

This photo shows Chris' finish of the swing with a definite unload to the front foot and nice extension on the follow-through of his swing. We'll definitely be hearing more about Chris in the future...!
