Rebecca Adams gets some racquet control tips from Tennis Legend Jim Courier at the Kraft Foods Kids Day at the Stanford Cup held at River Oaks Country Club. Becca is 10 years old and comes from an avid tennis playing family. The trip to the Stanford Cup Kraft Kids Day was a special event for Columbia Lakes members and Coach Sam's junior program participants.
Wesley Stonestreet (white hat) from the Columbia Lakes Country Club junior program plays an exhibition game against Tennis Legends Jim Courier and Magnus Larson during Kraft Foods Kids Day at the Staford Cup held at River Oaks Country Club.

John Adams is a sophomore at Angleton High School. He recently switched from the Wilson Tour 90 to the Babolat Storm. He plays an agressive game style and likes to work his way to the net to finish the point. Right now his agressive style has produced spotty results, but with consistent practice, hard work, and determination John will develope into a fine player. His serve is on the verge of becoming a major force and his ground strokes show great promise. An all court game style like John's takes a little more time to fine tune but this summer should be a big turning point for John.
Emily Dellinger is just finishing her 7th grade year at Angleton Junior High. She started taking lessons this year and has made a remarkable leap of improvement in a very short amount of time. Her hard work and dedication paid off this spring as she and partner Ryan Outterson won the 7th grade girl's doubles title at the end of the school season district tournament. She has recently started using the Babolat Aero Pro and loves it.
Josh Sebesta is a sophomore (soon to be junior) at Angleton High School. His game is really starting to blossom. He was semi finalist at the Golfcrest Country Club Junior Gran Prix recently. Josh works part time at Columbia Lakes Country Club in the pro-shop and plans to log in lots of time on the practice courts this summer. I predict a big summer for Josh and a great high school season when he returns to school in the fall.
Kathy DiBlasi is a member at Columbia Lakes Country Club and switched from her old Wilson racquet to the Babolat Aero Pro at the beginning of 2006. Including tournaments, ladies league, team tennis, singles league, lessons, and hitting with her husband Kathy plays 4 to 5 times a week. She plays right handed and has great volleys and punishing ground strokes. Tennis is a very important part of her life!
Here's the Spring Break Camp Group Photo for March 13, 2006... We had four seasons of weather in one day. It started out warm and muggy, then drizzled rain, then the temperature dropped 25 degrees and a fierce north wind blew though, then it rained some more. After that it gradually dried out and the we finished with a beautiful, perfect afternoon... That's south Texas for you...!
